What is Cratos (CRTS)?

Cratos (CRTS) is a Vote-to-Earn (V2E) cryptocurrency designed to incentivize real-time civic participation through the CRATOS mobile app, a decentralized voting platform. Built on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token, Cratos enables users to earn tokens by generating polls, voting on topics, and commenting on active discussions — all while contributing to public opinion in an open, traceable way.

Developed by Pharos Labs, Inc., a South Korean blockchain company founded in February 2020, Cratos aims to create a transparent and decentralized alternative to biased media and traditional polling systems. Under the leadership of Founder & President Sangheoun Noh and CEO David Kang, the project launched its mobile application in December 2020, followed by a global version in December 2021. As of 2023, the app has over 600,000 downloads and a vibrant user base of more than 300,000 active participants.

How Does Cratos Work?

At its core, Cratos is a real-time mobile voting platform that rewards user participation. The app allows users to create voting topics on personal or trending issues, contribute to community decisions, and discuss poll results. Every action — registration, poll creation, voting, and commenting — earns the user CRTS tokens through the Vote-to-Earn model.

Votes update live, and demographic data such as age and gender are displayed instantly after submission, adding transparency and social insight. Users also interact via discussion boards, where strict community guidelines help maintain a constructive and respectful debate space.

Cratos also facilitates admin-created polls to present issues objectively, which are often used by media partners and research institutions for public sentiment analysis. Compared to traditional polling, Cratos is faster, cheaper, and more democratic. The platform supports both iOS and Android, providing global accessibility for digital democracy.

In October 2022, Cratos introduced DAO governance, allowing CRTS holders to propose, vote, and shape the direction of the platform. Token-based voting power ensures that those most invested in the ecosystem play a key role in its evolution. As the project matures, Cratos plans to implement auto-executing proposals, strengthening decentralization and platform responsiveness.

What is the CRTS Token?

CRTS is the utility and governance token of the Cratos ecosystem. With a maximum supply of 100 billion, it powers the platform’s Vote-to-Earn rewards, DAO governance, and marketplace transactions. Over 49.3 billion tokens are already in circulation as of April 2024. CRTS is rewarded for user activities and used to vote on platform decisions. Its tokenomics include allocations for user incentives (36%), ecosystem growth (20%), foundation reserves (16%), development (15%), and marketing (13%), each with appropriate vesting and lock-up periods.
