What is ECash (XEC)?

ECash (XEC) is a blockchain network for digital transactions, including everyday payments, micropayments, cross-border transfers, staking, governance, and smart contract integration. It focuses on privacy and scalability to help with widespread usage.

Developed by the Bitcoin ABC team (a Group of Developers that played a vital role in the development of Bitcoin Cash (BCH)), eCash was launched on July 1, 2021, when it was rebranded from Bitcoin Cash ABC (BCHA). The rebranding aimed to update the project image while maintaining its core functions. 

What makes Ecash Unique?

The ECash (XEC) blockchain is a hybrid chain that operates on the Avalanche consensus protocol and proof-of-work consensus mechanism to enable secure transactions, seamless network upgrades and quick confirmations. it introduces a unique denomination structure with smaller units called “bits”, in which 1 BCHA equals 1,000,000 XEC, favouring micro-transactions and everyday payments. This design improves scalability and simplifies integration for diverse financial applications.
