MINA Coin History and Funding

Mina Protocol, often referred to as the world’s lightest blockchain, launched its token generation event (TGE) on May 31, 2021. The project gained traction with multiple funding rounds, starting with its seed round in 2018, where it raised $3.5 million at $0.07 per token. Investors included Electric Capital, Polychain Capital, and Naval Ravikant.

In 2019, Mina held a Series A round, raising $15 million at $0.15 per token. The strategic round followed in Q4 2020, raising $6.63 million at $0.25 per token from top-tier investors like Multicoin Capital, Paradigm, and Coinbase Ventures.

Mina also launched a public sale via Coinlist in April 2021, raising $18.75 million by offering 75 million tokens at $0.25 each. Mina Protocol raised $92 million across funding rounds, with investors such as Pantera Capital, Amber Group, and Blockchain.com Ventures playing significant roles in its success.

As of the beginning of 2025, Mina Protocol has experienced significant fluctuations in its price history. The all-time high (ATH) was recorded on June 1, 2021, at $9.91, marking a peak in its market performance. However, the token has since declined, with its all-time low (ATL) reached on August 5, 2024, at $0.3358, reflecting a 94.05% drop from its ATH.

The circulating supply of Mina stands at 1.2 billion tokens, matching the total supply, while the market cap is valued at $711.5 million.
