What is Shiba Inu (SHIB)? 

Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a cryptocurrency built on the Ethereum blockchain network and introduced as a “meme coin” inspired by the Shiba dog similar to the Dogecoin. Shib Coin also referred to as “Dogekiller” was launched in August 2020, founded by an anonymous person or group called “Ryoshi”. At present the project is currently under a person named Shytoshi Kusama. 

Ryoshi hosted the ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network as it was already secured and well established instead of its own Shiba Inu blockchain network. Shibarium layered 2 is designed to work on the Ethereum network, it was introduced to reduce gas fees, expand Web3 solutions, and a framework for decentralized applications.

The Shiba Universe consists of decentralized trade, called Shibaswap with 2 tokens (“Leash & Bone”) and also includes Shiba Inu Incubator and Shiboshis.

• Leash is the token used on Shibaswap, where holders can stake their Leash to earn rewards having a limited supply of 107,646 tokens. It is the companion to the Shiba Inu community allowing usage and investment.

• Bone is the governance token of the Shiba Inu Community allowing users to participate in decision-making and future development with a total supply of 250 million.

• Shiba Inu Incubator provides guidelines for developers and creators to launch new projects related to Shiba Inu and tools for building decentralized applications.

• Shiboshis are NFTs within the Shiba Inu community representing unique digital collectibles featuring cartoonish Shiba Inu characters that can be bought, sold, or traded on the NFTs marketplace.

How Does It Work?

Shiba Inu Tokens are ERC-20 tokens on an Ethereum-based blockchain, which means it follow specific rules that allow it to interact with other Ethereum-based services and wallets.

The user initiates the transaction using the wallet, the transactions are broadcasted on the Ethereum network and validators or miners verify the transactions, then the verified transactions are recorded on the Ethereum blockchain posting the the balances accordingly.
